For young chefs in training!!!

We are offering summer cooking classes designed to get kids into the kitchen.
Young chefs will have fun learning and cooking techniques and kitchen etiquette.

Each class is a three-day hands-on series and teaches a variety of culinary musts:
terms, techniques, baking and international cuisines, just to name a few.
We’re sure your young chef will be making dinner for whole family in no time.

Teen Baking Workshop
Donna Nowicki
Edina, June 15, 16 and 17, 10 am – 1 pm | $195

Participation Class

Do you have a budding baker in the family? Hand them over to Chef Donna for
a few days and they’ll come back polished little pastry chefs! They’ll bake
everything from cookies and scones to pizza and more – even some great ideas
for putting the oven to work for lunch.

Menu:

Day One Menu: Lemon Kiss Cookies; White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread Cookies;
Malted Milk Ball Cookies; Key Lime White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies;
Strawberry and Rosemary Scones; Shrimp Pasta Salad.

Day Two Menu: Cake Pop Variety (vanilla confetti, chocolate, strawberry and lemon); Pizza
Margherita.

Day Three Menu: Lemon Dream Bars; Luscious Lemon Apricot Bars;
Creamy Lemon Bars with Kit Kat Crust; Strawberry Lemonade Bars; Vegetable
Garnishing; Coca Cola Glazed Chicken Wings; Homemade Bagel Chips and
Crudites with Creamy Garlic and Vegetable Spread.

Aspiring Young Chefs: World Tour
Maggie Lyon
Edina, July 26, 27 and 28, 10 am – 1 pm | $195

Participation Class

Attention chefs in training: Join Chef Maggie for a culinary expedition
around the kitchens of the world. In just three days, you’ll learn
everything from basic knife skills and kitchen safety to techniques and
plans for entertaining your family and friends! A great way to foster a
young person’s budding love for all things culinary.

Ages 10 to 12.

Menu:

Day One: The Americas: Mexican Guacamole with Chips and Fresh Veggies;
Argentine Marinated Grilled Flank Steak with Chimichurri Sauce; Canadian
Poutine; American Key Lime Pie.

Day Two: Europe: Italian Tomato, Olive and Mozzarella Bruschetta; French
Coq au Vin; Greek Salad; Spanish Crema Catalana.

Day Three:Asia: Vietnamese Spring Rolls and Nuoc Cham; Japanese Lacquered
Salmon; Chinese White Rice and Stir-Fried Vegetables; Indian “Mango Lassi”
Ice Cream Float.

Aspiring Young Chefs
Van Keszler
Grand Ave, August 16, 17 and 18, 10 am – 1 pm | $195

Participation Class

In this three-day cooking extravaganza, your kids will pick up the tips and
tricks they need to make the tasty foods that define summer. They’ll learn
loads of kitchen skills from a real pro: Van Keszler of Le Cordon Bleu. Who
knows … maybe they’ll even teach you a thing or two.

Ages 8 to 12.

Menu:

Day One: Fresh Pasta; Marinara Sauce; Alfredo Sauce; Caesar-Style Salad with
Ranch Dressing; Tiramisù.

Day Two: Salsa; Salsa Verde; Guacamole; Cowboy Beans; Mexican-Style Rice;
Burritos with Red and Green Chicken and Picadillo Beef; Sopapillas.

Day Three: Deviled Eggs; Barbecue Sauce; South Carolina Barbecue Sauce;
